Tubi's dramatization of the infamous Johnny Depp & Amber Heard dispute, Hot Take: The Depp Heard Trial, boasts a cast that closely resembles the real-life public figures. Written by Guy Nicolucci and directed by Sara Lohman, Hot Take: The Depp/Heard Trial recreates the legal dispute between former Hollywood couple Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. It also provides a fictionalized look at both celebrities' private lives before and during the process.

The trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard spanned six weeks and provided curious watchers with several hours' worth of real-life entertainment. For many, the legal dispute proved to be more entertaining than any fictional show, with highlights such as witness Alejandro Romero's humorous testimony while vaping, as well as lawyer Eleine Bredehort's off-topic discussion about muffins. Just four months after the process ended, the Hot Take: The Depp/Heard Trial cast will give viewers a refresher.

Tubi's trailer for Hot Take: The Depp/Heard Trial received mixed reactions, most of them displaying bewilderment at how soon they decided to adapt the controversy. While there's not much new material the dramatization can add, it will provide a new angle with the fresh faces portraying the stars. Here's a guide to the Hot Take: The Depp/Heard Trial cast and the real-life people they play.

Mark Hapka as Johnny Depp

A-list actor Johnny Depp's long list of famous roles includes the titular character in Tim Burton's Edward Scissorhands and Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. Depp's legal dispute with Amber Heard caused him to lose his biggest recent role, Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, which was then passed on to Mads Mikkelsen. The colossal task of portraying Johnny Depp in Hot Take: The Depp/Heard Trial lies on Mark Hapka, known for playing Nathan Horton in Days of Our Lives and Zach in Ghost Whisperer: The Other Side. The Hot Take: The Depp/Heard Trial trailer confirmed that Hapka has nailed Johnny Depp's voice and mannerisms.

Megan Davis as Amber Heard

Amber Heard has a successful career of her own with roles in well-known movies such as Pineapple Express and The Danish Girl, though her biggest role to this day is in the DCEU as Mera, which she debuted in Justice League and continued in Aquaman. Just like Johnny Depp was let go from a big-name franchise due to the legal dispute, Amber Heard's professional career also took a hit, as Heard's role in Aquaman and the Last Kingdom has been reduced. Heard will be portrayed in Hot Take: The Depp/Heard Trial by TV actor Megan Davis, who previously had a small role in the American Horror Story: Apocalypse episode, "Sojourn."

Melissa Marty as Camille Vazquez

Johnny Depp's lawyer Camille Vasquez stole the show in the Johnny Depp & Amber Heard trial. Vasquez was key in Depp's victory, and her clear professionalism and objectivity made her popular on social media. Melissa Marty joins the Hot Take: The Depp/Heard Trial cast in the role of Camille Vasquez, and similar to the real trial, the trailer shows that she will play a major role in the Tubi narrative as well.
