Hugh Jackman Shares Intense Wolverine Workout Clip in Preparation for Deadpool 3

Logan star Hugh Jackman is becoming Wolverine again for the upcoming MCU sequel, Deadpool 3, with the actor taking to social media once again to show off his intense preparation for the role of the fan-favorite X-Men member. Jackman shared a clip from one of his many workouts alongside the caption “Yes! I trained (in my favorite t-shirt)! #becomingwolverineagain.” Check out the clip, and get excited for Wolverine’s return, below.
Jackman and his Deadpool 3 co-star Ryan Reynolds have continued their (mostly) friendly rivalry in the gym as they both workout hard for the sequel. While Jackman looks to be in great shape as he smashes out some trap bar deadlifts, the actor is hoping to be even bigger for his Wolverine return, bulking up by shoveling down six meals a day to reach a massive 8,000 calories. "Bulking," Jackman said recently on social media while sharing an image of his enormous diet. "A day in the life. Thank you Chef Mario for helping me stay healthy and properly fed whilst .. Becoming. Wolverine. Again."
Reynolds meanwhile has been fighting hard to keep up with “The Jackmans,” and while we have been less privy to what this involves when compared to his co-star and rival, Reynolds has proven time and again how dedicated his is to getting into superhero shape for the role of Deadpool.

Deadpool 3 Will Follow Wade Wilson & Logan Embarking on a Road Trip
While plot details for Deadpool 3 remain largely under wraps, it is now hotly rumored and heavily expected that the Marvel threequel will follow Wade Wilson and Logan as they embark on a road trip. This plot detail is something that Reynolds revealed some time ago during Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox. Taking to social media at the time, Reynolds said, “It’s critical to have open, honest and healthy discussions around mental health. By retweeting #BellLetsTalk you can make a difference. In case that’s not enough, before Disney bought Fox, Deadpool 3 was gonna be a road trip between Deadpool and Logan. Rashomon style. For real.”
This has led some to theorize that Deadpool 3 will include a lot of multiversal madness, with Deadpool and Wolverine teaming up to escape the collapse of the Fox universe and enter the MCU. The idea has been further backed up by Hugh Jackman himself, who revealed recently that Deadpool 3 will include variants of Wolverine. "Yes, it will even be a dual role,” the actor said of his part in Deadpool 3.
One thing we do know for sure is that Deadpool 3 will not affect the ending of Logan. An ending considered by many to be the perfect send-off for Jackman’s iteration of Wolverine. “But all because of this device they have in the Marvel world of moving around timelines, now we can go back because, you know, it's science,” Jackman explained. “And so I don't have to screw with the Logan timeline, which was important to me, and I think probably to the fans too.”
Directed by Shawn Levy and written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, and starring Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, The Crown star Emma Corrin, and Succession’s Matthew Macfadyen, Deadpool 3 is scheduled to be released on November 8, 2024, as part of Phase Six of the MCU.
