AI art imagines fan-favorite choice to play James Bond, Regé-Jean Page, in the highly coveted role. Last year saw Daniel Craig bow out of the role of Bond after five standout appearances as the suave MI6 agent. No Time To Die brought audiences the first ever on-screen Bond death, bringing Craig's time as 007 to a dramatic-yet-satisfying close. Since then, discussions as to who will step into the role have taken over social media, with a few recurring names seeming to be among the favorites.

Names such as Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, and Henry Cavill are often associated with the role of Bond, but one particular name appears to have gained considerable traction in recent months. Page had his breakout role in Bridgerton, having immediately enchanted audiences as the Duke of Hastings, before appearing in the recent release of Netflix's The Gray Man and now being set to star in next year's Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. Page's name has been at the center of many discussions surrounding Bond, with Bridgerton director Julie Ann Robinson even recently sharing that she'd love to see him take on the role.

For those wondering what Page could look like as the next 007, a new piece of AI-generated art has imagined just that. Created using Craiyon (formerly the DALL-E mini program) the images offer a glimpse of what Page could look like in the role. The slightly warped images show him looking rather dapper in Bond's iconic suit. Check out the images below:

The Craiyon generator quickly became a huge hit on social media after users discovered its near-unlimited capabilities in creating mashups of almost anything, with many using it to fan-cast actors in roles such as this. Page previously addressed the Bond rumors directly, citing the fact that he is British as the main reason people seem to cast him in the role. The actor went on to state that he was "very glad" to be at the center of these discussions, but that there is no truth to them. Bond producer Barbara Broccoli recently revealed that the next Bond film will not enter production for at least two years, as they are looking to "reinvent" the character.

Although these AI images only offer a rough depiction of Page as Bond, with the help of some imagination, it's easy to see how the Bridgerton star would be well-suited to the role. Though it's unlikely that any official announcements for the next James Bond are on the immediate horizon, it will certainly be interesting to learn what's next for the character, with Craig having held the role for such an extended period of time. With many hoping that Page's previous comments are merely just the actor bluffing, it remains to be seen who will nab the coveted role, and whether Page will be donning that iconic tuxedo any time soon.
