Olivia Newton-John, the powerhouse star of films like "Grease" and "Xanadu" tragically died at the age of 73 in her Southern California ranch home, TMZ reports. The singer behind hits like "Physical" and "You're the One that I Want" was diagnosed with cancer in the 1980s and, though she was in and out of remission over the 30 years she had the illness, it appears her cause of death was related to cancer.

The representative that confirmed her death did not state a cause, though a close source to the family told TMZ, "After a 30-year cancer journey, she lost her battle to metastatic breast cancer."

Her husband released an official statement regarding her death that read, "Olivia has been a symbol of triumphs and hope for over 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer. Her healing inspiration and pioneering experience with plant medicine continue with the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, dedicated to researching plant medicine and cancer."
