Social Media Reacts To Jennifer Lopez Turning All Of Her Social Media Profile Photos Black: ‘Not Her Trying To Pull A Beyonce’
Jennifer Lopez is causing a stir on Twitter after turning all of her social media profile photos black on Tuesday night, with some social media users joking she may be following in Beyonce’s footsteps by drawing up anticipation for what could be the rollout for new music. As most will probably remember, in the lead-up to the release of Bey’s seventh album, “Renaissance,” the “Cuff It” singer had also disappeared from social media and changed her profile photos to black.
Weeks later, Beyonce went on to announce the release of her critically-acclaimed latest project — and people are now speculating whether Jenny from the Block is staging the same momentum with what could be the announcement of her first studio album since 2014’s “A.K.A.” Twitter took notice of Jennifer’s social media handles almost as soon as it happened, prompting one to write, “First Ashanti now Beyonce wow. Can’t even be original.”

“Jennifer’s Renaissance era is coming […] i hate when everyone follows Beyoncé. Like be original jeeez,” another person said, clearly convinced that J. Lo is teasing up excitement for what they, too, believe is the revel of a new album. But it didn’t end there as one person posted a meme of Mariah Carey, along with the tweet, “I don’t know her.”
To date, the mother of two has released eight studio albums, with her most recent one being “A.K.A,” which spanned the singles “I Luh Ya Papi,” “First Love,” and “Booty” featuring Iggy Azalea. And though J. Lo has continued to release a string of singles over the years, nothing had ever developed into the potential idea of working on a full body of work — until now, it seems.
In more recent years, Jennifer has focused more of her attention on the big screen, having starred in a string of movies including “Second Act” and “Hustlers,” which earned her the biggest opening weekend of her career, pulling in an impressive $33.2 million at the box office.

Not to mention, Jennifer also performed at the Super Bowl halftime show alongside Shakira in 2020 and has embarked on multiple tours, including a stint at her very own Las Vegas residency. So, to say that she’s been busy would be an understatement.
It’s still unclear what announcement she plans to make when she does return to social media, but all signs seem to be pointing at a potential new album.
