Beyoncé announces performance in Kansas City as part of ‘Renaissance’ world tour
Beyoncé is coming to Kansas City.
The singer announced her “Renaissance” world tour Wednesday for her critically acclaimed seventh studio album of the same name that was released in July.
On Sept. 18, she’ll perform at Arrowhead Stadium.
The tour kicks off on May 10 in Stockholm, Sweden, and makes its first U.S. stop on July 12 in Philadelphia. Nearby tour dates include a July performance at Soldier Field in Chicago and an August stop at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis.
Ticket prices and sale dates have not been announced.
“Renaissance” marks the singer’s first return to the road since 2017, when she and husband Jay-Z performed in their joint “On the Run II” tour, which didn’t stop in Kansas City.
Tour rumors have circulated since September, when tabloids claimed Beyoncé had started booking stadiums for the summer 2023 tour.
Since the release of “Renaissance,” Beyoncé has netted nine nominations for the upcoming Grammy Awards, including album, record and song of the year for “Break My Soul” and best R&B performance for “Virgo’s Groove.” The singer also won album and song of the year and best collaboration at the 2022 BET Soul Train Awards.
If she wins three of her nine Grammy nominations on Sunday, she’ll tie the record for most Gramy wins of all time. She’s already the most-awarded woman artist in Grammy history, with 28 wins.
