Morgan Wallen Chooses Between Baseball & Love in ‘7 Summers’ Short Film
Morgan Wallen portrays the all-too-familiar story of a young man having to decide on chasing his career or chasing love.
In a new cinematic eight-minute short film for his wistful track “7 Summers,” Wallen plays a baseball star whose dad is pressuring him to pursue a sports career. The country star, however, is in love with the girl next door, which causes a tense father-son relationship.
“This game is your future, Morgan,” Wallen’s dad says to him after he received an offer to play baseball in college.
“My future? I got what I want right here, right down the damn street,” Wallen replies in the Justin Clough-directed clip, before discussing his options with his love interest. When the country singer decides to pursue baseball, he returns to his hometown to find his lost love has a whole new life without him.
The video comes a day before Wallen is set to perform “More Than My Hometown” on Wednesday night’s (Nov. 11) CMA Awards.
