Aug. 3—After a week of rained out events, a night full of live music was just what the doctor ordered.

Akron was full of life at the Eastern Colorado Roundup Night Show last Saturday night.

The Washington County Fair Board and Commissioners worked tirelessly to bring their annual concert to wrap up fair week. After implementing a festival-like show in 2020, the setup has continued each year since, providing a laid-back atmosphere for all ages in the open area west of the arena.

Cody Cooke and the Bayou Outlaws made their third trip to Akron, after opening the 2015 Night Show for Chris Cagle and the 2020 Night Show for Kody West. This time, the boys from Louisiana returned as the headliners and did not disappoint.

Opening the evening were The Lowdown Drifters, making the trek from Texas. Their high-energy performance was well-received by show goers and the perfect complement to Cody Cooke and the Bayou Outlaws.

"It was a beautiful evening for live music. The ECR Fair Board would like to thank everyone who came out and bought tickets to support the concert. It's always a perfect end to a great fair week!" Alan Basler, Washington County Fair Board member, commented.
