What to Watch Monday: 'CMA Best of Fest' will have new and classic performances

CMA Best of Fest (8 p.m., ABC) - Luke Bryan hosts this retrospective of more than 25 performances from the past 16 years of CMA Fest. The special features features a brand-new performance with Bryan and special guest Darius Rucker. Other featured artists include Trace Adkins, Lauren Alaina, Jason Aldean, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Garth Brooks, Brooks & Dunn, Brothers Osborne, Kane Brown, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Billy Ray Cyrus, Dan + Shay, Lzzy Hale, Sam Hunt, Joan Jett, Lady A, Miranda Lambert, Lil Nas X, Little Big Town, Tim McGraw, Maren Morris, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Thomas Rhett, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Dwight Yoakam and Zac Brown Band, with special appearances by Bobby Bones, Jim Gaffigan, Kirk Herbstreit, Peyton Manning, Lionel Richie, Rob Riggle, Gwen Stefani, Michael Strahan and Rita Wilson.

Cooked: Survival by Zip Code (PBS / UNC-TV) - Today, on the 25th anniversary of the Chicago heat wave that killed 739 people, PBS rebroadcasts the Independent Lens documentary that examines the deadly event that led to the deaths — mostly Black people and people in the poorest neighborhoods in the city. The film, first released this spring, ties the heat wave back to the underlying man-made disaster of systemic structural racism and then goes deep into one of our nation’s biggest growth industries: Disaster Preparedness. The documentary is also available to stream at and on the PBS Video App.
