Hurricane Dorian struck the Bahamas as a catastrophic Category 5 storm with sustained winds of 185 mph, leaving 70,000 people homeless, a mounting death toll and thousands of people still missing. Dorian continued its path up the Atlantic coast, causing flooding in North Carolina's Outer Banks and lashing eastern Canada, ripping roofs from buildings and uprooting trees.

The need for sustained international support in the Bahamas is dire. Aid groups have mobilized to provide shelter to evacuees, deliver badly needed safe drinking water, as well as medical and hygiene supplies and emotional support.

MSN is raising relief funds for the American Red Cross and Team Rubicon, a nonprofit veteran-led service organization which has deployed teams to the Bahamas.
