10-year-old boy missing from west Birmingham found safe

UPDATE 8:30 p.m.: Birmingham police say Justin Allums, the missing 10-year-old boy last seen in the Ensley area Tuesday afternoon, has been found safe.

A critical missing person investigation is underway for a 10-year-old boy last seen in west Birmingham Tuesday afternoon.

Birmingham police say they are looking for Justin Allums, also known as "Doughboy." Allums was last seen in the 4800 block of Court S Ensley around 5:22 p.m. Tuesday. Police say Allums is approximately 5 feet and 1 inch tall and 125 pounds.

A 4-year-old boy who was with Allums was initially reported as missing, but has since been located.

Allums is described as “stocky.” He was wearing a gray long sleeve shirt with a green and purple image of a radio on it, a blue/black bubble jacket, a black backpack, blue jeans, and white Nike Air Force ones with black shoe strings when he disappeared.

Investigators say they have not confirmed any evidence of foul play.
