17-year-old shot in Allegheny County

A teenage boy was shot in the leg late Tuesday night in Allegheny County, police said.

Shots were reported to have been fired shortly after 9:30 p.m. in the area of Lincoln Highway, near Warren Drive, in North Versailles. About 19 minutes later, police were called to Maple Avenue in Turtle Creek for the 17-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound.

The teenager was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive, police said.

Investigators said a car with bullet damage was found at the Turtle Creek location.
