2 arrested for stealing puppies from Mt. Healthy store, 1 puppy returned
MT. HEALTHY, Ohio (WKRC) - Two 18-year-old men were arrested for allegedly stealing puppies from a shop and animal rescue in Mt. Healthy and one of the puppies was returned.
Lok Jogi and Lokendra Jogi face receiving stolen property and breaking and entering charges for the Feb. 6 thefts.
Surveillance video showed three young men jumping a fence at Animal House Cincinnati around 11:30 p.m. They smashed their way in with a crowbar.
The men then started grabbing puppies from their beds.
An employee believed the same three were at the business earlier that day posing as customers. They were eventually kicked out after getting rough with the animals.
When they returned Monday night, staff said they were able to steal a pug mix and two Boston terrier mixes.
Police found at least one of the stolen puppies in their Carthage apartment.
Investigators have not said if they've identified the third suspect.
According to reports, the puppy was found in the home of one of the suspects.
