3 boaters missing after falling off vessel into Potomac River, DC Fire continues search

A search continues Monday morning for three missing boaters whom fire officials say fell off a vessel into the Potomac River Sunday evening. 

Mustafa Haidar, Ahmad "Johnny" Noory, Omid Rabani have been identified as the three men missing by police Monday morning.

Haidar was last seen in the 2800 block of Robbins Road, SW on Sunday.  Haidar is described as an Afghan man with a medium complexion.  He is 6-foo-4 and weighs 205 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.  He was last seen wearing black jeans, no shirt or shoes.

Noory was last seen in the 2800 block of Robbing Road SE.  He is described as an Afghan male with a medium complexion.  He is 6-foot-5 and weighs 220 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.  Police say he was last seen wearing black shorts, no shirt or shoes. 

Investigators say Rabani was last seen in the 2800 block of Robbing Road SE.  He is is an Afghan male with a medium complexion.  Rabani is approximately 5-foot-11 and weighs 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.  Police do not have a description of his clothing. 

Police and other rescue agencies are also helping in the search after officials say the men did not resurface after falling into the river.

After an extensive water, land and air search for more than two hours, fire rescue officials say the rescue efforts have transitioned into a recovery operation, and the three men remain missing.
