Stafford County Fire and Rescue responded to the three-story house just after 1:40 a.m. in the 00 block of Wallace Farms Lane.

Firefighters reported smoke coming from the chimney. They then found fire on the roofline in the back of the home on the outside, as well as fire on the roofline inside the home.

The fire was marked under control approximately five minutes after arrival, according to the department. However, four occupants were left displaced, who had originally self-evacuated. They all had minor injuries and were treated on the scene.

The department said that they also found no working smoke alarms present.

The fire continues to be under investigation by the Stafford County Fire Marshal’s Office. Units were assisted on scene by Quantico Fire and Emergency Services and the Fredericksburg Fire Department.
