44-year-old man fatally shot in southeast Dallas parking lot

A 44-year-old man was fatally shot Wednesday in a parking lot in southeast Dallas, police said.

Officers responded to a shooting call at 12:18 a.m. in the 200 block of Stoneport Drive, near South Great Trinity Forest Way and Pemberton Hill Road, and found the victim, Fredrick Willie, in a parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds.

Willie was taken to a local hospital, where he later died, police said.

No other details about the shooting were available. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, police said.
