5 people found dead inside Florida home in apparent murder-suicide, police say
Police said multiple people died in an apparent murder-suicide Friday.
NBC Miami reports police were contacted by a relative trying to get in contact with their family members.
Sign up for our NewslettersMiami-Dade police then went to a home in Miami Lakes Friday morning and found a window unlocked.
Responding police found five people, including three women and two men dead, NBC Miami reports.
Family said two of the victims were Yoanka Aguilar, 54, and Dhany Aguilar, 34.
They were mother and son, NBC Miami reports.
All five people who police found dead had apparent gunshot wounds. The investigation is ongoing.
Miami-Dade police said a man among those found dead in the home had taken his own life.
"You can only imagine for the family members that were here that this is extremely tragic to be able to find five individuals that are in there lifeless," Miami-Dade police spokesman Alvaro Zabaleta told NBC Miami.
