7 air fresheners no match for Duluth K9 who found cocaine in SUV

A man who was pulled over in Duluth may have thought the seven air fresheners he had in his car would help keep police from finding the cocaine in his car, but they did not.

Officer Kang and K9 Clodo were on patrol on Pleasant Hill Road when they saw an SUV with a suspended registration.

During the traffic stop, Officer Kang noticed the driver’s arms and legs were shaking and he looked nervous. The driver also had seven air fresheners hanging from the mirror.

Released body camera footage shows Officer Kang get K9 Clodo out of the car and do a sweep of the vehicle. In the video, K9 Clodo can be seen poking his head into the driver’s side window and then sitting down to alert Officer Kang to drugs being inside the SUV.

Officers then found cocaine near the driver’s seat.

The 36-year-old driver, who was not identified and is not seen in the video, was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine.

DRUG BUST: Officer Kang was on patrol driving on Pleasant Hill Road when he located this SUV with Suspended Registration. During the traffic stop, Officer Kang noticed the driver's arms and legs shaking and was extremely 7 air fresheners hanging from the mirror 😒 Thinking something was odd, a backup officer was requested. Seeing clues of possible drug activity, Officer Kang deployed K9 Clodo to alert him to possible drugs. During the sweep around the vehicle, K9 Clodo gave a positive alert to drugs. After a reward was given to Clodo, officers began searching the vehicle and located cocaine near the driver seat.
