Cashier slashed after dispute over food stamps inside Queens supermarket
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A cashier was slashed on the wrist by a woman during an assault inside a supermarket in Queens over the weekend, officials said.
The incident occurred Sunday morning in Flushing, following a dispute over the use of food stamps by a customer, WABC-7 reports, .
The suspect was arrested at the scene.
The cashier was taken to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital in stable condition, authorities said.
An investigation is ongoing.
