Clerk attacked in early morning Lincoln robbery
LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Officers with the Lincoln Police Department are investigating an early morning robbery where a gas station clerk was assaulted.
Officers responded to the Kwik Shop at Touzalin & Fremont just after 2 a.m. in northeast Lincoln on Wednesday. Police said two men entered the store with their faces covered and hoods on their shirts up, demanding money.
According to LPD, one of the suspects went around the counter and assaulted the clerk.
LPD said the two suspects stole cartons of cigarettes, as well as alcohol and then left the store.
Investigators processed the scene, canvassed the area and reviewed the store’s surveillance video.
The clerk was treated at the scene. He was not hospitalized for his injuries.
