A 60-year-old man was shot during a robbery in his home in the Flour Bluff area, Corpus Christi police said.

About 1:20 a.m. Friday, police were called to a shooting in the 900 block of Quetzal Street, Senior Officer Travis Pace said.

Officers arrived and found a man who appeared to have a gunshot wound to his lower torso. The man told police two men kicked in his door and demanded money, Pace said.

One of the suspects then shot the man and left with an undisclosed amount of money. The man was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for his injuries, Pace said.

The man's condition was unknown Friday morning.

Police said both men were wearing masks and one was seen wearing a black hoodie with white stripes.

Anyone with information should call police at 361-886-2600 or Crime Stoppers at 361-888-8477.
