El Paso police arrest two men found with guns, drugs and stolen property in San Elizario

Two men were arrested by El Paso Police Department in San Elizario on Thursday after they were found with guns, drugs and stolen property, according to EPPD.

Police from Mission Valley Regional Command were conducting surveillance on a wanted person who was identified by police as 17-year-old Angelo Jose Owings.

Officers said Owings was picked up by Aaron Joseph Villa, 23, at the 1000 block of Jute Drive.

Police stopped the Ford Fusion driven by Villa. The men were found in possession of guns, drugs and stolen property, EPPD stated in a news release.

Owings and Villa were arrested and booked in the El Paso County Detention Facility.

Owings, who lives in San Elizario, was charged with unlawful carry of a weapon, possession of a controlled substance and two charges of burglary of a vehicle.

The charges amount to a $40,00 bond.

Owings also had a warrant for credit card or debit card abuse with a $10,000 bond.

Villa, who resides in East El Paso, was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a controlled substance.

His bond was set at $30,000.
