CINCINNATI (WKRC) - A Colerain Township man was sentenced to six months in jail Wednesday for not caring for his developmentally disabled son.

Marvin Powell, 63, had pleaded no contest to a count of patient endangerment.

Last February, police found Powell's 31-year old son with his own feces on him and severely underweight at their Struble Road home.

The son was kept in a storage room, lined with moving boxes. He was locked in from the outside and had only a bare mattress.

Powell had a camera in the storage room and monitored him on his cell phone.

Powell admitted to police that his son hadn't showered in at least a month.

Powell has been out on bond since his arrest.
