It's a sad ending to a story 7News has been following since the beginning. The owner of a stolen French bulldog named Bruno says police told her he was found dead.

Bruno was one of the two dogs stolen during a dognapping crime spree in Washington D.C. back in April 2022.  While one of the stolen dogs, Pablo, was returned to his owners, Bruno remained missing.

But Jamaica Harvey tweeted Friday, "So many people shared my post about BRUNO the Frenchie stolen at gunpoint in D.C., I wanted to inform everyone he was found DECEASED in PG county Maryland. Such a difficult post to even Post, I got a little peace out of this. Rest Easy Baby Boy."

"My heart is completely SHATTERED," Harvey tweeted. She said Bruno was found dead in Prince George's County on Thursday.
