Grass fires in Sacramento lead to a smoky downtown area
Multiple fires are breaking out across Northern California amid gusty north winds and low humidity on Friday. A red flag warning issued for the Sacramento Valley, northern San Joaquin Valley and the Foothills is in effect through Friday night. The warning is up until about 8 p.m., with north winds from 15 to 30 mph and gusts up over 40 mph.
