Greensboro police have confirmed seven people shot at a nightclub overnight.

Officers have identified one of the victims as 36-year-old Cedric Monroe, who they said died from his injuries. Six others were injured.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting at Southside Johnny’s on West Market Street just before 3 a.m. Sunday.

Victims were taken to a hospital in stable condition and some in life-threatening condition.

Officers say there is no suspect information available at this time.
