CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa.-- A gunman is in police custody after an hours long standoff.

Cumberland County Public Information Officer John Bruetsch said that police were called to a home in the 500 block of Terrace Drive in New Cumberland around 12:30 a.m. on November 13 for a reported domestic assault.

Bruetsch said that upon arrival, the suspect fired 40-50 shots at four officers, but none were hit.

Authorities were able to get the victim outside of the house, but the gunman wasn't taken into custody until 7:25 a.m.

A press release is expected to be issued later today with more information on the incident as well as any charges that are filed.
