ALAMEDA, CA — Alameda Police credit a security guard with getting a stolen gun off the streets.

At 2:45 a.m. Sunday, Alameda police officers were sent to Shorepoint Court after a caller reported a disturbance that included a gun.

The caller, identified as the security guard, stayed on the phone with police dispatchers as patrol officers took the person into custody who had been seen brandishing the gun.
