Police found a Houston woman's body in the trunk of a car after a police chase, KHOU reported.

A DPS state trooper saw the car on Interstate 10 after getting notified to be on the lookout for a reckless driver. Instead of pulling over at the trooper's signal, the car sped off and crashed into a concrete barrier in Beaumont. It stopped only after two more wrecks.

Police searched the car after the crash and found the woman's body. Jefferson County Justice of the Peace Ben Collins is calling the death a homicide.

The driver, a 35-year-old man from Fresno, is in the hospital but expected to recover.
