A husband has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a child called 911 and told dispatchers his stepfather had strangled his mother.

Jason Lindsey, 36, is charged with second-degree murder in the death of his wife Tynell Lindsey, 38.

According to an arrest affidavit from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the 911 call was by the boy from a home in the 7300 block Sand Lake Road around 6:45 p.m. Monday.

The affidavit said the boy was extremely distraught during the 911 call and could be heard screaming for somebody to stop.

When deputies arrived they quickly ushered the boy out of the house and said they found Jason Lindsey walking out of a bathroom closet.

They found his wife, Tynell Lindsey, unresponsive on the floor of a bedroom closet. She was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center for treatment but pronounced dead a short time later.
