Juvenile charged in Buncombe Co. shooting that left man in serious condition, deputies say

BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office said a juvenile was charged following a shooting that took place shortly after midnight on Friday.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the juvenile suspect had an altercation with members of the household prior to the shooting.

Officials said the shooting took place on Black Locust Drive and more than 50 rounds were fired. The victim, Alejandro Cedillo-Morales, was shot during this incident. He was taken to the hospital where he remains in serious condition.

Detectives said one of the firearms used in the shooting was an AR-15 rifle.

The juvenile suspect was taken into custody by the Fletcher Police Department on charged brought by the Sheriff’s Office.
