LMPD investigating after 2 people shot outside southwest Louisville business

Louisville Metro Police Department is investigating after two people were shot in southwest Louisville Saturday.

Police said they received reports of a shooting around 5 p.m. involving two victims.

LMPD located a female in the 3200 block of Commerce Center Place, while a man was found in the 3300 Block of Penway Drive, not far away.

After LMPD's initial investigation, they said the two victims were outside a business at Cane Run Road and Bells Lane when they were shot and fled the scene.

Both the man and woman have non-life-threatening injuries, according to police. They were taken to UofL Hospital to be treated.

Police have yet to determine what the relationship between the two victims is.

LMPD's Second Division is investigating the shooting and has not made any arrests.
