Louisville Metro Police are investigating after they say three people were shot Thursday evening near Hikes Point.

According to a statement from LMPD's Alicia Smiley, police responded to the 3300 block of Hikes Lane around 6:30 p.m. when a call came in regarding the incident.

There had reportedly been an altercation that left two men and one woman shot. They were all taken to University of Louisville Hospital.

A man and a woman thought to be in their early 20s have non-life-threatening injuries, Smiley said, while a 16-year-old boy is in critical condition.

A 15-year-old male was arrested in connection with the shooting, department spokesman Dwight Mitchell said Friday. He has been charged with first-degree assault and wanton endangerment.

Police are investigating and asking anyone with information to call their tip line: (502) 574-LMPD (5673).
