Man, 51, charged, sought in spate of holdups at Metro PCS, Honey Baked, Boost Mobile in Birmingham

Authorities are searching for a 51-year-old man in connection with a spate of holdups at multiple Metro PCS stores, as well as two other businesses.

Myron Royal Jr. is charged with six counts of first-degree robbery and five counts of third-degree robbery, said Officer Truman Fitzgerald.

Once in custody, he will be held on bonds totaling $435,000.

The robberies happened at multiple PCS store locations over a two-week between June 15 and June 29.

Those locations are:

- June 15, Crestwood Boulevard

- June 22, 7004 1st Avenue North

- June 29, 9541 Parkway East

- June 29, 2017 Avenue F

- June 29, 3015 27th Street North

In addition to the Metro PCS holdups, he is also charged in robberies at Honey Baked Ham and Boost Mobile.

In some instances, a “deadly weapon” was used. Other incidents involved “strong arm.”
