Man shot dead on front lawn in Highlands

Officers found a man dead lying on the front lawn of his sister’s home in the Highlands.

Witnesses told police they heard gunshots and when they came outside they saw the 53-year-old male on the ground near Del Monte Lane. He died by the time police arrived. Witnesses saw a black Dodge Charger and a black Wrangler drive away after the incident.

The man was at a bar earlier that night and was dropped off at his sister’s home, but she did not know he was coming. The investigation is ongoing.
