Man shot woman inside car while driving in Spanish Lake, then shot himself

A 19-year-old man shot a woman and then killed himself Friday night in north St. Louis County.
According to the St. Louis County Police Department, Brian Thurman and Denise Edwards, were driving together in the 11000 block of Lilac Ave. when Thurman shot Edwards and then got out of the car and shot himself.
The vehicle then went off the roadway and stopped after hitting a tree.
A firearm was recovered at the scene.
The investigation has been reclassified to a murder-suicide, police said.
