Man wanted in connection to theft at Hoover Home Depot

The Hoover Police Department has asked for the public's help with locating a man wanted in connection to a July 9 theft at a Home Depot store in Hoover.

Police said, according to employees, a white male selected a LG air conditioning unit and a Sawzall, placed the items into a shopping cart, passed all points of sale without attempting to pay and left the store.

Police said the items had a total value of around $1000.00.

Police said the man got into a gray Toyota Tacoma and fled the store.

Police said it is possible that the man has ties to the Walker County area.
