FRANKLIN (Somerset) – A New Brunswick man suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a shooting outside a Cedar Grove Lane hotel shortly after the beginning of the new year.
The victim, who was not named, underwent emergency surgery and is expected to survive, according to the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office.
About 2:31 a.m. Friday, Franklin Township police responded to a 911 call of a man with a gunshot wound outside the hotel which authorities did not name.
The man was taken to a nearby trauma center where he underwent surgery, authorities said.

Authorities have not released a motive for the shooting and no arrests have been made.
