MILLVILLE, N.J. (WCBS 880) — A New Jersey woman has hit McDonald’s with a lawsuit claiming one of the chain’s outposts served her a burger in a wrapper covered with feces, according to a report.

Millville resident Amanda Bordois filed the suit claiming she and her daughter ordered a burger and fries at a McDonald’s on North High Street on Jan. 13, the Vineland Daily Journal reported.

When her daughter pulled the burger out of the bag, Bordois “noticed a brown substance all over the wrapper of the burger and on [her] right hand” that had a “horrible stench,” the lawsuit alleges, according to the outlet.

Bordois’s suit claims she was “nauseous, disgusted and sick that she and her child just consumed french fries touching the burger wrapper covered in feces and in the same bag as the fries they had eaten,” the outlet reported.

When Bordois reported the incident to police, the officer who took their report wrote that he “looked into the bag and observed what appeared to be feces on the wrapper of a burger in the bag," according to the outlet.

The McDonald’s manager, however, claimed that wasn’t possible, the suit reportedly alleges.

In a statement provided to the outlet, the owner and operator of the North High Street McDonald’s, John Durante of JDKD Enterprises of Sewell, said his company has “taken the appropriate steps to investigate this matter and have been unable to substantiate the claim.”

“Serving safe, high quality food is always our top priority and we take this claim seriously,” he added.
