Two men were shot in downtown Louisville early Tuesday morning, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD.
LMPD spokesperson Beth Ruoff said officers were responding to a commercial burglar alarm in the 400 block of West Market Street when they were notified about a shooting at the same location.
When they arrived, they found a man in his 50s who had been shot and killed. Another man had also been shot and was taken to the hospital in critical condition, according to police.
The identities of the men who were shot have not been released.
Ruoff said the LMPD Homicide Unit is investigating but everyone who was involved was "accounted for."
Another man was found dead around 4 a.m. Tuesday on Senn Road on the western edge of Louisville. Ruoff said the two shootings are not related.
