Initial reports said the person might be armed with a knife but police didn't believe he was threatening anyone. It is unknown if the person is an employee or a customer.

A crisis negotiator and mental health specialist responded to the scene, and the store was evacuated because of the incident, police said.

The man eventually came out on his own and surrendered to police around 11:30 p.m., Sgt. Stefan Iwanicki said on Saturday morning.
