Montgomery police have launched a homicide investigation after a 61-year-old man died in a Tuesday night shooting.

Carlos Medrano of Montgomery was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting in the 4500 block of Narrow Lane Road, according to Sgt. Tina McGriff of the Montgomery Police Department. She said that police and fire medics were called at around 10:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting in that area of Narrow Lane Road.

No further information was available and police said the investigation into the fatal shooting is ongoing.
