Man accused of stabbing K-9 arrested after dad's body found

A Bexar County judge sentenced Christopher Norton, 32, to 18 years in prison on Wednesday, August 31, for a deadly San Antonio hit-and-run where a motorcyclist was left to die from his injuries. Nolan's sentence came more than a month after he pled guilty in July to a charge of failure to stop and render aid resulting in death, according to a news release.

Norton was driving his SUV on the night of November 9, 2020 when he hit Phillip Snow, 48, who was riding his motorcycle through the intersection at O’Connor Road and Larkdale Drive. Norton drove off instead of calling for EMS or offering any other kind of aid, leaving Snow to die from his injuries later at the hospital.

Witnesses said they noticed Norton driving erratically before the hit-and-run and police said at the time of his arrest that he entered the left turn-only lane before violating Snow's right of way. Snow was wearing a helmet but he was thrown from his motorcycle. Paramedics were called after Norton fled.

People later called police to report a verbal disturbance at the 100 block of S Gardenview that same night and discovered it was Norton arguing with his mother. Norton was later arrested when asked about the damage to his vehicle.
