Work crews in Southeast Bexar County found the remains while picking up trash in the 9300 block of S. WW White Rd.

Sherriff Javier Salazar said the remains were determined to be a woman between 30-40 years old. He said they believe they know who the woman could be, but still need to check with the medical examiner.

Investigators found evidence at the scene that was then traced to a house in the 300 block of West Harlan. Deputies searched the house and found ten people inside.

The 10 people were questioned and released, but are considered persons of interest in the case.

The Sheriff also said deputies found a secret room hidden in a garage, which is seen as suspicious, but possibly unrelated.

Sheriff Salazar said there is evidence this is a homicide case. He said cadaver dogs helped in the case.

Deputies will continue to stay at the home, along with a mobile crime unit.
