Three killed in two separate Pennsylvania shootings within hours of each other
Three people have been killed in two separate shootings within hours of each other in Pennsylvania.
The first tragedy unfolded on Thursday, March 23 shortly after 7.30pm when officers were called to a shooting on the 500 block of North 4th Street in the city of Allentown.
Upon arrival, cops discovered a man with gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a hospital nearby but could not survive his injuries, and died a short time later.

Inquiries are now underway to piece together exactly what happened, while identification of the victim will take place when his next of kin have been notified. Police have assured there is no danger to the wider public.
The second incident took place hours later, at around 1.30am on Friday, March 24 when the alarm was raised about another shooting in the area, this time on the 100 block of East South Street.
Emergency services raced to the scene and found two people who had been gunned down. Officers performed first aid on the victims but they could not be saved.
A preliminary investigation has revealed that individuals were trying to open car doors of parked vehicles in the area and, when confronted by a nearby resident, an exchange of fire broke out between the resident and one of the alleged offenders.
Both the alleged offender and the resident were fatally hit. Their next of kin have yet to be informed and after that, the names and ages of the deceased will be confirmed.
