Pine Run Road in that area is a rural stretch lined with farms. The speed limit is 45 mph. While it's not known how fast the Jeep was going before it went off the road, witness Mark Kimmel says speeding in the area is a problem.
"It hit the tree that hard on this side it actually took them around to the other side of the tree," witness Mark Kimmel said.
Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the crash. They are asking witnesses to call Pennsylvania State Police Gettysburg at 717-334-8111.
