The victim said the 17-year-old boy shot at the vehicle the victim was driving, striking it at least three times, warrants said.
The warrant also was carrying a 9mm semi-automatic pistol.
The 17-year-old suspect was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center Wednesday night on a temporary custody order, according to Master Deputy Jimmy Watt, with the Oconee County Sheriff's Office.
Watt said arrest warrants obtained Thursday charge the teen with:
- Attempted murder
- Possession of a weapon during commission of a violent crime
- Unlawful carrying of a pistol
- Possession of a firearm with the serial number removed or obliterated
- Discharging a firearm into a vehicle
- Possession of marijuana
He said due to the severity of the crimes, the teen can be tried as an adult.
The suspect is being held on a bond of more than $90,000, Watt said.
