Deputies recovered three firearms during the stop. One, a KG Model K15 AR pistol, was concealed under a jacket by 17-year-old Damarion Mims of Lake Helen. Damarion also had a 60-round rifle magazine, loaded with 30 rounds of 5.56 ammunition, in his pants.

A Glock 17 9mm pistol with an extended 33-round magazine was found under the front passenger seat. That gun was reported stolen in Seminole County in 2020.

A tan handgun was in the waistband of 18-year-old Jarmez Hardy of DeLand. That gun has no make/model or serial number, referred to as a "ghost gun."

Mims was charged with carrying a concealed firearm and unlawful possession of a firearm by a minor. Hardy was charged with carrying a concealed firearm. The passenger who fled has charges pending at this time.
