It happened along Chelten Avenue, near Magnolia Street, around 10:30 p.m. Police say a driver hit the woman in her 70s and took off.

Authorities found her in the middle of the road. She was taken to Einstein Medical Center, where she died about an hour later.

Investigators are actively searching for video footage in the hopes of identifying the car and arresting the driver.
