At the time of the missing person report, Theresa reported that her daughter had ingested medicine that was not prescribed to her and then left home without her phone.

On Sunday, March 12,  a community search was coordinated in hopes of finding Sayre. Volunteers searched the Village of Bloomingburg, focusing on the area where Sayre was last reportedly seen.

On Wednesday, the sheriff's office received a report just after 12:30 a.m. on a person found dead at a home in Bloomingburg.

Upon arrival, deputies were directed to the upstairs of the home where Sayre was discovered in a closet.

Her body was taken to the Montgomery County Medical Coroner's Office for a post-mortem exam.

The sheriff's office said no signs of foul play was discovered.

Her cause of death is unknown at this time.
